Standard chip

We offer a variety of standard chips. The applications covered range from mixing and reaction to environmental and biological analyses.
All chips on this page have a size of 70 mm * 30 mm * 1.4 mm (thickness) and are made of borosilicate glass (a Pyrex equivalent).

  • Single Y type

    1. Main functions: Mixing, reaction, and laminar flow
      Two fluids join together in the channel.

      Common specifications
      width : 100μm
      Depth : 40μm
      Total number of openings: 3 (2 on the left side and 1 on the right side)

      Two different materials introduced through the two inlets are mixed and reacted in the channel.

      The back pressure increases, and therefore more pressure is required for ejection, with increasing length of the channel. If you give priority to the flow rate, short-channel chips are recommended. For experiments that involve prolonged reactions, long-channel chips are suitable.

    Double Y type

    1. Solvent extraction, Separation, Laminar flow, Concentration
      If you want to create a two-phase flow, guided chips are recommended. The guide structure stabilizes the flow.

      These chips feature a guided junction.

      A solution containing a complex is passed from one inlet, and a solvent that extracts only the complex from another.
